The next club meeting of VNBC will be held on Tuesday 8th October, and will include the Annual General Meeting of the Club, as well as a demonstration and discussion on the windswept style using Australian native plants.
The AGM, as always, will include full reports on the activities and progress of the Club over the past year, as well as election of office bearers and committee for the coming 12 months. It will be an opportunity for club members to hear how the year has gone, to put any questions to the committee, and to provide suggestions for activities and programs for the year ahead.
The demonstration and discussion around the windswept style should be an interesting presentation, for a style of bonsai which often causes growers much trouble in developing a tree which really achieves a pleasing result.
This meeting should be a good follow-on from last month’s meeting, where we had a most interesting set of discussions about inspiration from nature in developing our bonsai.
