Club Meeting Tuesday 11th November 2025

At this meeting, Rod Vert presented an information-packed discussion on preparing Eucalypts for Bonsai, with plenty of ideas, experiences and challenges for the club members to think about in relation to growing, styling and repotting.

Rod has worked with quite a range of Eucalypt species over recent years, with some very interesting trees responding to his care and training. The trees discussed on the night included Euc camaldulensis (River Red Gum), Euc leucoxylon (Yellow Gum), and Euc mannifera (Brittle Gum).

Members trees on the display table on the night highlighted a range of Eucalypt species, including Euc gunnii,  Euc pauciflora. There were also other species on display, including a great Leptospermum “Mesmer Eyes” in flower.

A great night of Eucalypts.
